1) What do you like most about EU4M?

The EU4M Master has been a great and rewarding adventure since 2008 and I am happy to be part of it. My warm thanks to Professors Fritz Neff, Constantina Álvarez and Claude Roche for initiating and building the EU4M Master.

EU4M is a big family. It is a consortium of five partners with whom it is very pleasant to work, who share the same desire to welcome and train students in the promising field of mechatronics. EU4M, It is above all our students coming from all continents with their culture, their desire to learn and to share. The mixing with our students leads to an opening to the world, very rich and constructive exchanges and a friendly working atmosphere. Some of the EU4M students go on to do a doctorate in French or international research laboratories and this helps to make the merits of our training known.

2) How come only a few French students participate in EU4M?

It is true that we did not have any French students in the EU4M Master. First of all, because on the ENSMM side, our students come to obtain an engineering degree and the interaction with the EU4M master is not direct. It would be different if the students were enrolled in a Master's course. Concerning the other students outside ENSMM, I have done some communication with French universities but maybe not enough or not well enough directed.

3) Where will you go first when the COVID pandemic is over?

As soon as we can travel easily, I would like to come and visit the EU4M partners, I miss them a lot. We meet by videoconference but it is not the same thing. The life of the EU4M master is the working meetings but it is also the convivial and festive moments and the discussions around a coffee or a friendly meal with the professors and the students.

4) What do you think the EU4M community is still missing?

It is true that the EU4M community is already well organized. I confess that I don't go on social networks very much. An initiative like the EU4M letter is an excellent idea to help give more life to the community. Thank you for this investment to maintain the links of the EU4M community that the COVID pandemic has unfortunately distended.
