Our alumni Nicolás Ramírez, who graduated from the master's program in 2019, shares with us what his experience in the program was like and what he is currently doing. Here is his testimony:
"Hello, I am originally from Colombia. I left my country when I was 18 years old and I lived and study in the Czech Republic for 10 years. After that, I applied for the EU4M joint master's program and I got the opportunity to make part of it. My path was: first a year in Spain, then in Egypt 6 months, and my last semester in Germany. At the end of the master's program, I was employed by the firm for whom I did my thesis, and I stayed in Spain for another two years.
Now in Denmark, I am working on a project that aims to establish a revolutionary manufacturing method for the production of reusable molds at low cost and without waste. This method will enable the construction of sophisticated concrete structures. The project will introduce a novel technique with large-scale high-speed additive manufacturing of wax molds. We believe this technique can eliminate 374 million tons per year of wood formwork waste from concrete construction and achieve a 78% cost reduction in formwork production.
Without the experiences, learnings, and opportunities that were unlocked for me during and after the Erasmus+ EU4M, I wouldn't be here."
