The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) prize was awarded this year to Kai Li Ong from Malaysia. Kai Li Ong completed her bachelor's degree in the double-degree program Mechatronics at UMP Malaysia and HKA, where she wrote her thesis. She then studied in the Joint Master Degree in Mechatronic and Micro-Mechatronic Systems -EU4M- at HKA, Ivanovo State Power Engineering University in Russia, and Universidad de Oviedo in Spain. Although the Covid 19 pandemic shaped her studies, she participated in many projects and searched for solutions to problems. With fellow students, for example, she programmed an NAO robot to calculate room size and control the number of people allowed to enter the room and distribute masks to those who did not. Through such work and further outstanding academic achievements, she was regularly on the top list of her universities and was able to win numerous prizes. The prize was handed over by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Kipfmüller. Congratulations on your efforts and may there be more successes to come!!!
